The Cormorant's frontal combat capabilities have been greatly enhanced thanks to the weapon systems modifications it received from Lai Dai. Although the identity of the ship's original designer remains a mystery, these modifications quickly gained popularity due to their remarkable advantages.

Destroyers trade a frigate’s agility for a much heavier weapon rack, which makes them the natural counter to frigate swarms. They remain fragile for their size, so they work best when something tankier is holding aggression.
