A large number of nanorobots are clad on the surface of the ship's hull, capturing energy from dark matters, while the energy escapes as light radiation due to Cherenkov radiation. These nanorobots can adjust the frequency of the light waves (usually in a one-time fashion) to achieve cosmetic changes. The nanorobots are generally connected by Van der Waals forces, which need to be disrupted using recombination devices to recombine the nanorobots, in order to achieve cosmetic changes or simple functional changes.
